One very clear lesson of the gospels is that you will accomplish nothing by pointing out hypocrisy (unless you count crucifixion as an accomplishment).

Jesus points it out frequently and the only effect is to make the Pharisees resolve to kill him. They do not hang their heads in shame and repent. They just double down on hypocrisy, acting super-holy while murdering God.
