The Feminizing of Culture, and Male Self-Hatred

The Brussels Journal is defunct. This article still seems relevant but is now nearly impossible to find. It does not appear as a search result under articles I have contributed to TBJ, so I am making it available here.

Warren Farrell gives an account of how men and masculinity became demonized, how the emphasis on “compassion” became so prevalent and how the vogue for male self-hatred got started – The Feminizing of Culture, and Male Self-Hatred.

    • @JLS – I hadn’t heard of “Sexual Utopia in Power.” The comments at Amazon make it look interesting. That’s something else Farrell like Devlin addresses – whether female promiscuity is “empowering” or not. “Not” is his answer in case anyone is wondering.

      • The essay I am talking about is only a few pages long, you can find it on the web in PDF form. I think it is a bit too close to the mark. The other essays in the book, I cannot judge
